Catholics for a Free Choice, NARAL Pro-Choice America Roll Out New Bus Ads for Roe’s 30th Anniversary
Washington, DC – NARAL Pro-Choice America and Catholics for a Free Choice (CFFC) announced today that it has purchased ads commemorating the 30th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. The ads will go up Tuesday in specially selected high profile bus shelters in Washington, DC, and will remain up for one month.
“This is the largest mobilization in our history,” said NARAL Pro-Choice America President Kate Michelman. “We are pleased to join with Catholics For a Free Choice to educate, mobilize and rally the nation’s pro-choice majority to protect a woman’s right to choose. As pro-choice Americans we must understand that freedom of choice will not survive unless we act to protect it. As people travel through our nation’s Capitol -they will be reminded that the majority is pro-choice.”
“We want to remind the marchers that theirs are not the only voices on this issue. We want these ads to serve as a visual reminder that we will not be silent,” said Frances Kissling, President of Catholics For a Free Choice.
